Operation Wanted has wound up for another year. We desexed a total of 70 animals during the scheme this year.
If you want the full breakdown, we desexed:
Which means that there are:
- 22 less animals that are at risk of testicular cancer,
- 22 more animals with a reduced risk of prostate cancer,
- 38 less animals that are at risk of developing ovarian cancer, a life-threatening uterine infection or dying because something went terribly wrong while pregnant, giving birth or feeding babies and
- 38 more animals with a reduced risk of developing breast cancer
Even better, there will be a lot fewer unwanted puppies and kittens that end up homeless or in a shelter (or worse) over the next few years. And that's more than enough for us.
